Roll initiative — we’re looking for an attorney to help build the future of the world’s greatest roleplaying game.
Wizards of the Coast is seeking a skilled and collaborative attorney to support the Dungeons & Dragons franchise. This role, will report into the VP of Legal based on Renton, and will partner with business leaders and legal colleagues across licensing, publishing, digital platforms (including D&D Beyond), digital games, and community management.
What You’ll Do
- Advise on licensing, partnerships, and global deal strategy.
 - Provide legal support for D&D Beyond, including digital and physical product marketplace, privacy, and community engagement.
 - Counsel on digital game development and publishing, including IP, live services, and monetization.
 - Support creator content, UGC, and open source/community standards.
 - Provide clear, practical legal direction in a fast-paced, collaborative, and creative environment.
 
What You'll Bring
- J.D. and admitted to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
 - Experienced, with 4–8 years in licensing, digital product counseling, UGC, open source, privacy, or interactive entertainment.
 - Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
 - Able to prioritize effectively and pragmatically without over-lawyering.
 - Proficient in French (a strong plus).
 - Passionate about games, storytelling, and the D&D community.

The base salary range for this position is $132,600.00 to $198,900.00. The hiring range will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, location and market conditions. Additionally, employees may be eligible for annual and long-term incentives as part of their overall compensation package.
