To support this and other upcoming digital ventures, the Analytics team needs new talent.<br/><br/>Help us bring joy to millions of fans with innovative brands that have shaped generations of gamers.<br/><br/>WHAT IS THIS ROLE ALL ABOUT? (<b>POSITION PURPOSE</b>)<br/><br/>You will be working closely with the brand team to shape all digital experiences. Your core responsibilities will be driving efficient player acquisition and modeling lifetime valuations. You will also run market experiments and assess new outreach initiatives. In this role, you will work closely with the individuals who run all our advertising campaigns. Your analysis will help shape the future of our business and brands.<br/><br/>DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS WIZARD<br/><br/>&bull; Drive efficient player acquisition – Work closely with the user acquisition team to ensure we are running efficient campaigns that bring valuable players into our franchises.<br/>&bull; Create lifetime valuation models – Create sophisticated models that accurately predict the individual lifetime value of new players. Incorporate these models into our DNA of acquiring users and making successful products.<br/>&bull; Build acquisition reporting tools – Help the user acquisition team achieve their goals by developing accurate tools that provide timely feedback on their active campaigns.<br/>&bull; Develop player segments – Design our player segmentation models that can propel great business decisions and offer customized player experiences.<br/>&bull; Run experiments – Run experiments that validate our business assumptions. These can range from traditional A/B campaign optimizations to innovative social influencer experiments.<br/>&bull; Future predictive planning and strategy – Work with business teams to create models and frameworks to predict problems and opportunities in play and products for the future.<br/>&bull; Grow our data-informed culture – Wizards of the Coast already uses data in numerous ways to inform, design, and predict play and experiences. The data analyst will help grow our data-informed culture further by offering new analytical models and breakthrough insights to demonstrate the power of data driven decision making.<br/><br/>AM I QUALIFIED?<br/><br/>Minimum qualifications:<br/><br/>&bull; BS/BA degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., statistics, economics, computational biology, computer science, mathematics, physics, etc.).<br/>&bull; 2 years of relevant work experience in data analysis or related field.<br/>&bull; Proficiency in a SQL language (Postgres, TSQL, etc.).<br/>&bull; Experience with digital advertising.<br/><br/>Preferred qualifications:<br/><br/>&bull; Excellent interpersonal skills; able to work across business lines at senior levels to influence and effect change to achieve common goals.<br/>&bull; Prior experience working with user acquisition.<br/>&bull; Analytical skills: outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.<br/>&bull; Proficiency in Python or R.<br/>&bull; Knowledge and passion for Magic: The Gathering.<br/><br/>Knowledge, Abilities and Characteristics of the Ideal Wizard:<br/>The successful candidate must embody the Analytics team’s principles –<br/><br/>&bull; We are stewards of facts<br/>&bull; We are passionate about games<br/>&bull; We believe solid analysis leads to better decisions<br/>&bull; We listen and learn<br/>&bull; We are inclusive and respectful<br/>&bull; We expect greatness<br/><br/><b>Education and Training:</b><br/><br/>&bull; BS/BA or equivalent<br/><br/>Physical Requirements:<br/><br/>&bull; Office environment, able to work on computer or phone for long periods of time.<br/><br/>We are an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action Employer.<br/>The above is intended to describe the general content of and the requirements for satisfactory performance in this position.
