At Wizards of the Coast, we connect people around the world through play and imagination. From our genre-defining games like Magic: The Gathering® and Dungeons & Dragons® to our growing multiverse, we continue to innovate and build new ways to foster friendship and connection. That’s where you come in!

Are you a builder of realms and a keeper of kindreds? Do you believe that a game table can be a hearth, a haven, and a home—and that a shelf of collectibles is a gallery of identity and happiness? We’re looking for a Director of Community Marketing to be the voice, the guide, and the architect of belonging for both D&D and Pulse!

This isn’t just a marketing role—it’s a stewardship of some of the most dedicated fandoms on Earth! In this role, you’ll craft the connective tissue between fans, foster the future of play, and ensure that wherever someone picks up their first d20—or their first vintage-style action figure—they know they’re part of something legendary.

You’ll lead community strategy ensuring the player’s and collector’s voices are heard in every campaign, every drop, and every celebration. From fan-fueled events and Dungeon Master mentorship to collector showcases and creator collaborations, you will be the guardian of fandom, belonging, and joy.

This is more than marketing—it’s mythmaking.

Your Mission (Key Responsibilities):

  • Champion of the Realms: Own the global community marketing strategy for Dungeons & Dragons and Pulse, ensuring players, DMs, collectors, and creators feel seen, supported, and celebrated.
  • Voices at the Table: Ensure the player and fan perspective is always present internally, representing community sentiment and insight in cross-functional planning.
  • Assemble the Party: Plan and implement local community activations across North America and Europe, giving players spaces to group up, roll dice, and create memories.
  • Forge First-Time Magic: Shape and supervise the first-time player experience at official events—turning curious onlookers into lifelong adventurers.
  • Builders of Tomorrow: Create programs that inspire and equip the next generation of Dungeon Masters through education, storytelling, mentorship, and hands-on opportunities.
  • Organize the Adventure: Support and evolve organized play, youth engagement, and collegiate-level initiatives that fuel community growth.
  • Fan-Fueled Fires: Build programs that increase positivity, fan sentiment, and communal connection—celebrating what’s phenomenal, while listening deeply and responding with care.
  • Creator Kinship: Foster meaningful relationships with creators, collaborating on initiatives that bring fans closer to the brands they love.
  • Belonging Is the Magic: Whether it’s your first campaign or your fiftieth convention, ensure every fan feels welcome, valued, and part of the greatest community on the planet.

Pulse of the Fandom:

  • Drive the effort to establish and grow a thriving Hasbro Pulse community—a home for fans of Transformers, GI Joe, Power Rangers, and more.
  • Celebrate toy collectors by curating moments that spotlight collector passion, creativity, and history with Hasbro's most beloved brands..
  • Help bring to life the joy of play—for all ages—and amplify the emotional stories behind every shelf, pose, and display.

Your Equipment (Qualifications):

  • Experience: 7+ years in community or experiential marketing, events, or fan engagement—ideally in gaming, collectibles, or entertainment.
  • Community Instincts: You’re both a strategist and a steward. You understand what fans need, what they love, and how to amplify that at scale.
  • Event Perfection: Strong background in planning and completing IRL activations, with the ability to think globally and act locally.
  • Collector & Creator Empathy: Experience building healthy, collaborative relationships with both content creators and fan communities.
  • Empathy + Agility: Conscientious communication skills, especially when engaging sensitive or passionate communities.
  • Vision + Tactics: Able to build a long-term strategy while also launching programs, partnerships, and play opportunities in the short term.
  • Fandom-First Energy: Deep love for fantasy, collectibles, games, and storytelling—and a desire to make D&D and Hasbro Pulse the most welcoming fandoms in the world.

Ready to Roll?

If you’re a community-builder, a culture-shaper, and a believer in the power of shared imagination—we want to hear from you. Together, we’ll turn players into legends and fans into family.

Compensation range (USD):

  • Starting Pay Range: $166,600
  • Pay Range End: $250,000
