Role Introduction:

We are hiring a Director of Core Platform Foundations to build and lead teams responsible for identity, cloud platform foundations, guardrails, and telemetry. This role shapes the core platform layer that enables engineering teams to build, automate, and operate software and AI-enabled systems reliably at scale.

In this role, you will balance strategy with hands-on execution. You will design foundational platform capabilities, translate policy into enforceable technical controls, and grow an organization that provides clear standards, predictable patterns, and trusted signals as the platform scales.

What You'll Lead:

Developer Platform & Delivery Experience

• Lead the internal developer platform that standardizes how teams build and ship software
• Deliver golden paths, templates, and build-and-deploy workflows used across engineering
• Define CI/CD pipeline patterns with embedded policy enforcement and environment automation

Platform Services & Integration Patterns

• Design and operate shared platform services that support provisioning, automation, and integration
• Define API contracts, event schemas, and approved service-integration patterns
• Embed policy and compliance expectations directly into delivery workflows

AI Enablement Pathways

• Provide governed access to AI models and services used in production
• Define routing boundaries, isolation rules, and execution patterns for safe AI use
• Establish reusable integration patterns for AI-enabled services, agents, and copilots

Adoption & Enablement

• Drive platform adoption through clear onboarding workflows, documentation, and reference implementations
• Support migration from legacy pipelines to standardized platform workflows
• Partner with engineering teams to ensure platform capabilities are usable and trusted

Team Leadership & Execution

• Lead and scale engineering teams responsible for developer experience, platform services, and AI enablement
• Set clear priorities, execution standards, and delivery expectations across the PSA domain

What You'll Bring:

• Experience building or leading cloud platform, identity, or foundational infrastructure engineering teams
• Strong background in identity systems, access models, and entitlement governance
• Hands-on experience with cloud architecture, IaC, networking patterns, and platform security
• Ability to set standards, drive adoption, and reduce fragmentation across engineering organizations
• Experience hiring, developing, and scaling engineering teams and leaders

Core Requirements:

• 10+ years in cloud, identity, or platform engineering, including 5+ years leading engineering teams or functions
• Ownership of cloud architecture standards, Infrastructure as Code frameworks, or platform guardrail systems
• Background in identity lifecycle automation and access or entitlement modeling across enterprise environments

The base salary range for this position is $208,881.00 to $313,321.00. The hiring range will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, location and market conditions. Additionally, employees may be eligible for annual and long-term incentives as part of their overall compensation package.
