The Presentation Specialist is responsible for ensuring the technical success of Wizards of the Coast’s events. The Presentation Specialist employs a variety of skills to ensure that virtual, hybrid, and in-person events, and video production shoots are executed at the highest quality possible, and that both audiences and presenters have a seamless, positive experience.

This role leads the planning, execution, and technical delivery of assigned meetings, events, conventions, and video shoots. The Presentation Specialist provides direct event support, collaborates with production partners, and advises internal stakeholders on best practices for achieving successful events. Travel may be required up to 15% of the time, including support for board of directors meetings, company town halls, major conventions (e.g., Gen Con, PAX, MagicCon), and international events.


Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and technical delivery of events, including the operation of production hardware and software.

  • Manage event intake, define deliverables, and coordinate schedules, deadlines, testing, and preproduction requirements.

  • Oversee setup, testing, and management of event equipment to ensure readiness.

  • Ensure all visual and media assets are properly prepared and displayed during events.

  • Provide direction to other teams across the business to align on technical needs.

  • Serve as technical director on large-scale events supported by external production crews.

  • Support confidential or high-stakes internal events requiring discretion (e.g., board presentations), though not as a first responder.

  • Collaborate with coordinators and stakeholders on post-production deliverables.

  • Troubleshoot technical issues as they arise and provide hands-on support to presenters.

  • Ensure production aligns with event goals, budgets, and timelines.

  • Contribute technical expertise to fan-facing conventions and community events, ensuring an engaging, polished experience for attendees.


Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of three years supporting corporate meetings, live events, or video productions.

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; highly professional demeanor.

  • Strong ability to adapt to changing circumstances, troubleshoot issues, and maintain calm under pressure.

  • Understanding of basic visual design principles and how they enhance event production.

  • Able to manage multiple priorities with a focus on high-quality outcomes.


Technical Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of video conferencing platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Teams Live Events, Microsoft Stream, and Zoom.

  • Proficiency in live video production tools such as vMix, eCam, Wirecast, or OBS.

  • Strong Microsoft 365 expertise, especially with PowerPoint.

  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud applications (Premiere, Media Encoder, Photoshop, Illustrator).

  • Working knowledge of computer networking as it applies to event production.

  • Ability to evaluate and integrate emerging AI tools into event production workflows, including applications in event production,  real-time translation, or audience engagement.

The base salary range for this position is $77,969.00 to $109,000.00. The hiring range will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, location and market conditions. Additionally, employees may be eligible for annual and long-term incentives as part of their overall compensation package.
