Senior Finance Manager – Dungeons & Dragons Franchise

Seeking a Senior Finance Manager to manage finances for the Dungeons & Dragons franchise, including tabletop publishing, D&D Beyond, video games, and expansion into entertainment. This position requires working closely with product leadership to offer strategic insights for investment and long-term planning.

What You Will Do

  • Manage the Franchise P&L – Take charge of financial oversight for all D&D physical and digital product offerings. Deliver clear reporting, establish accountability measures, and offer valuable insights on business performance factors.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis – Coordinate budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for the D&D business. Evaluate opportunities, monitor performance, and ensure alignment to goals while adapting to changing priorities.
  • Strategic Collaboration – Collaborate closely with leaders across the Dungeons & Dragons franchise. Offer financial insights that build investment prioritization, greenlight processes, and franchise expansion strategies.
  • Video Game Studio Support – Work closely with production and development leaders from internal and external studios to supervise budgets, monitor milestones, and assess return on investment. Aid game teams in production, publishing, and all partner teams to foster balanced growth.
  • Executive Storytelling – Translate complex financial data into clear, compelling narratives for senior executives, enabling informed decisions that balance creative ambition with financial accountability.
  • Cross-Business Collaboration – Partner with teams across Wizards and Hasbro to align financial planning across multiple distribution channels, platforms, and entertainment verticals.
  • Direction and Development – Provide direction for junior finance staff, exemplify strong business partnership, and nurture a culture of responsibility, collaboration, and ongoing improvement.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
  • A generalist approach, capable of providing strategic value across various business models.
  • Substantial expertise in financial management within video game studios, covering forecasting, budget management, tracking milestone progress, and supporting diverse business models.
  • Demonstrated skill in collaborating with production, development, publishing, and interdisciplinary teams to influence decision-making and enhance business results.
  • Proficient in financial modeling, forecasting, and executive narrative abilities, capable of translating intricate outcomes into practical insights for decision-makers.
  • Strong communication and influencing abilities when interacting with senior executives and collaborators, including creative and technical leaders.
  • Demonstrated experience owning full P&L accountability, delivering accurate budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses at a senior leadership level.
  • Track record of driving process improvements, financial systems optimization, and reporting automation to increase efficiency and clarity.
  • Leadership and mentorship capabilities, with experience developing finance talent and encouraging collaborative, successful teams.
  • Familiarity with SAP, Anaplan, or equivalent ERP and planning systems preferred.

The base salary range for this position is $139,500.00 to $209,300.00. The hiring range will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, location and market conditions. Additionally, employees may be eligible for annual and long-term incentives as part of their overall compensation package.
