2026 Summer Cloud Platform Engineer Intern:
The cloud platform underpins how services are built, deployed, and operated across the organization, and the way it is designed and managed directly impacts security, reliability, and consistency.
As a Cloud Platform Engineering Intern, you will work alongside experienced cloud platform engineers to support the development and improvement of shared cloud foundations. This internship is designed for a student who wants hands-on exposure to how cloud infrastructure is built, automated, secured, and operated at scale within a production environment.
Throughout the summer, you will contribute to real platform initiatives while learning how standards, automation, and security controls are implemented to support reliable and consistent delivery.

What You'll Do:
Support Cloud Platform Foundations
- Assist in building and improving shared cloud platform capabilities that engineering teams use as the default
- Contribute to infrastructure-as-code, configuration management, and automation efforts that strengthen consistency and reliability
- Help document platform patterns and supported cloud usage approaches to improve clarity and adoption
Enable Secure and Consistent Cloud Usage
- Support implementation of identity, network, and security controls within cloud environments
- Review and enhance automation that enforces cloud standards and guardrails
- Assist in improving observability and visibility across cloud services to support operational awareness
Learn Platform Operations
- Participate in team planning and design discussions to understand platform decision-making
- Analyze logs, metrics, and system behavior under guidance to support troubleshooting and reliability efforts
- Contribute small, scoped improvements that enhance platform stability and usability
What You'll Bring:
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- Foundational knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP through coursework or projects
- Familiarity with scripting or programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, or similar
- Interest in infrastructure, automation, and platform engineering
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Familiarity with networking or identity concepts within cloud-based systems
- Contributions to academic, personal, or open-source technical projects

Program Details
- Interview Timeline: February – April
- Summer Internship Program Dates (adjust accordingly for Co-op):
- Start: Early June (target June 8)
- End: Late August (target August 21)
- Commitment: Full-time (40 hours/week)
- Compensation:
- Rates vary based on year in school, degree program, and office location
- Final rates communicated during offer process
- Location: This internhsip opportunity will take place in our Renton, WA office hub and is hybrid
