Hasbro’s Corporate Controller’s group is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team! This role will report to the Manager of Corporate Accounting. This is a dynamic, high-touch role in our team that is responsible for many areas of accounting and reporting at our publicly traded, multi-billion dollar global play and entertainment company. This role will be a key contributor to the monthly financial close process, specializing in journal entries, account reconciliations and analyses with efficiency and accuracy. 

 

This hybrid role can be based in the US and requires the ability to work Eastern Time hours and approximately 25% travel to our office in Rhode Island.

 

A Day in the Life of a Senior Accountant, Consolidations:

  • Assess and prepare global consolidation journal entries.
  • Own the monthly reconciliation of certain balance sheet accounts, which include accrued liabilities and equity accounts.
  • Expert user of the Company’s financial consolidation system; assist with system testing and upgrades.
  • Provide vital information to facilitate the internal and external audit process.
  • Prepare quarterly and ad-hoc financial reporting for Investor Relations and Senior Management.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities throughout the close and consolidation processes.
  • Assist with the accounting and reporting for our philanthropic trust, The Hasbro Children’s Fund.
  • Collaborate with various internal partners globally to provide information, seek issues and offer solutions to business needs.
  • Assist with the intercompany reconciliation process.

 

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum 4 years public accounting experience and/or public company experience.
  • Experience with a large ERP or consolidation platform.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, concepts and practices.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize projects, and contribute efficiently and optimally in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
