The Senior Portfolio Manager plays a critical role in shaping the company’s video game portfolio by providing strategic insights, investment recommendations, and data-driven analyses. This role ensures that the company’s portfolio aligns with market trends, optimizes investment across titles, and improves long-term business opportunities. The Senior Portfolio Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate new game opportunities, determine the best development and publishing models, and drive portfolio success through proactive decision-making.

 

What You'll Do:

 

Operational Responsibilities

  • Maintain a real-time, comprehensive view of the game portfolio, including development status, investment levels, and market positioning.
  • Track and analyze performance data across active and upcoming projects to guide strategic recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain portfolio dashboards and reporting tools for executive leadership.
  • Assess the financial performance and value of ongoing projects to optimize portfolio balance.

 

Strategic Responsibilities

  • Identify new game opportunities based on market trends, competitor analysis, and consumer insights.
  • Provide recommendations on which types of games should be added to the portfolio.
  • Provide guidance on whether new titles should be developed internally, with external partners, or as licensed projects.
  • Guide decision-making on investment allocation across projects to balance risk and opportunity.
  • Evaluate potential external partnerships, including co-development, publishing, and licensing deals.
  • Work closely with business development teams to assess M&A opportunities related to portfolio growth

 

What You'll Bring:

  • 7+ years of experience in portfolio management, investment analysis, game publishing, or a related field within the gaming industry.
  • Proven ability to assess market trends and make data-driven investment recommendations.
  • Experience managing multiple game projects at different stages of development.
  • Strong financial competence, with experience managing P&L and assessing risks.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for executive-level reporting.
  • Expertise in working with data visualization and portfolio management tools.

 

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in mergers & acquisitions (M&A) or live service game portfolio management.
  • Strong knowledge of licensing agreements, publishing deals, and co-development partnerships.
  • Background in game development pipelines and production methodologies.
  • MBA or equivalent experience in business strategy, finance, or game publishing.

 

Compensation Range, Currency USD:

  • Starting Pay Range: $110,900
  • Pay Range End: $228,900
