Hasbro's Analytics, Insights and Measurement (AIM) group is growing, and we are adding a Sr. Solutions Analyst to our team! The Solutions Engineering team at Hasbro is responsible for the data products deployed globally across domains such as Commercial, Finance and Product Development. As we continue to develop new capabilities, we are looking for a person to partner closely with our Revenue Growth Management team to deliver solutions that drive high business value.

 

The initial focus for the role will be to dive quickly into the current state for the business team, collecting an understanding of both the data and the need. The Senior Solutions Analyst will be the central person between business partners, the IT department, and the off-shore development team helping to translate business need into scalable solutions. This position can located in our Pawtucket, Rhode Island office or remotely on the East Coast.

 

A day in the life as a Sr. Solutions Analyst, AIM Solutions Engineering:

  • Lead analytics projects from inception to completion - projects may be small, one-time requests or large, ongoing programs.
  • Collect requirements from our global partners and translate into clearly articulated technical specifications documents.
  • Document unit test scripts for off-shore team, perform detailed user acceptance and post-unit testing.
  • Write and communicate results for business partners; acquire feedback regarding user experience.
  • Develop technology systems that support business partner data and analytical needs (including components like interactive dashboards, visualizations, data blending and transformation routines).
  • Work with internal partners and outside vendors to catalog, clean, and integrate Hasbro and external data sources into Hasbro’s data model; develop processes and tools to enable access to data for analytical purposes.
  • Identify tools and vendor partners who can help the team drive business value for Hasbro.

 

What you’ll bring:

  • Good project management capabilities with the ability to coordinate multiple projects and prioritize incoming requests.
  • Experience preparing relevant data visualizations and build data-driven summaries of results for presentation to business partners (in partnership with the AIM Analytics team).
  • Proven knowledge of sourcing, cleaning, and analyzing complex data sets that link data from a variety of sources.
  • Experience with interviewing business to collect requirements, formulate and define system scope and objectives.
  • Ability to communicate with various levels within the organization (primarily across AIM).
  • 5+ years of experience in Analytics, consulting, or a related data/quantitative field.
  • B.S. or equivalent in a quantitative field (e.g., comp sci, engineering, economics)
  • Significant experience and proficiency with BI and Data Visualization (Power BI preferred)
  • Intermediate SQL skills, ability to craft queries as well as make data structure recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – experience working with business partners and senior leaders; as well as leading resources (off-shore a plus).
  • Proficiency with Excel and advanced excel features a plus.
  • Experience with one or more scripting languages (Python preferred).
