Sr Commodity Specialist

Main Purpose of Role

The job holder will be accountable for:

1. Daily follow up with all of Hasbro packaging suppliers in China/HK for commercial related terms and issues,  keep good communication with them,  and keep right packaging supply base in China/HK

2. Will be key Commodity member for new supplier onboarding in China to do on-site visit/audit,  will be part of onboarding to evaluate new suppliers’ capability and cooperation willingness

3. Responsible for tracking the global trends in the assigned commodities which Hasbro uses and ensure an up-to-date database is developed and maintained tracking these costs on a regular basis.

Key Responsibilities

• As the window from Commodity to keep daily communication with all of packaging supplier (master carton, printed box, blister, label, PE bag, paper Ratten etc., ) in China/HK, 
  • Manage related commercial terms including LT, MOQ, price
  • Solve related supply issue, manage supply risk
  • Support packaging Buy & Sell team
• Take lead of new packaging supplier onboarding to match right supply base.
• Monitor packaging & paper market price and supply info, provide monthly report

• As key member to support Commodity all categories’ new suppliers (in China) onboarding process, pay on-site visit to related potential new supplier for Commodity questionnaire investigation and overall cooperation willingness evaluation.
• Work with Internal Stakeholders and Suppliers to identify, initiate and execute Cost Improvement Projects.
• Will also have other assignment for other Commodity sub- categories.

Requirements

• Business Administration degree, Major on Packaging will be preferred;  Major on Mechanical/ Chemical or Electronic will be considered.

• > 3 years purchasing/procurement and 2 years packaging related working experience.
• With analytical skills which is capable to conduct studies, analyse the external market benchmark data and the detailed cost information received from supplier, provide recommendations for the organization for decision making.

• Fluent in English written and spoken, and knowledge in Chinese (Mandarin / Cantonese) in writing and oral with Good Communication Skills will be a definite plus. 
• Be responsive, multi-tasking, detail oriented, self-driven and patient style.
