<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The jobholder will be a member of the Hasbro Global Development & Sourcing Operations Vietnam (GDSO Vietnam) team.

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Hasbro has ambitious plans to grow its sourcing of Toys & Games from Vietnamese factories.

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Critical for the success of sourcing toys & Games from Vietnam is to manage the costs and rates at our Manufacturing Partners. The jobholder will lead our Costing Team with 2 main areas of responsibility:

    1. <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Project Costing for New Product Development with Vietnamese factories
    2. <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Vendor Cost management

 

Responsibilities:

  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Product Costing for New Product Development
    • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The objective is to obtain the most competitive quotes from Vietnam vendors via:
      • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Support the Costing process with PCM target setting for Vietnam vendors based on available local cost data and benchmarks
      • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Support and facilitate the communication and timeliness of quote submissions & negotiation with Vietnam vendors during New Product Development bids.
      • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Provide technical supports to Vietnam vendors on P2M/PQS/E-connect system related issues.
      • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Act as focal person on all costing related issues between Hasbro and Vietnam vendors.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Vendor cost management
    • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The objective to drive down systematically the product cost and rates of the Vietnam vendor via:
      • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Negotiations on vendor rates based on Should Cost Standards, Benchmarks and top down targets
      • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Shop floor reality check of “Should Cost” standards and Cost Sheets of high runner
      • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Organise and lead Value Engineering workshops with cross functional team and Manufacturing Partners to drive down the costs of New and Carry Forward items.
      • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Support the Negotiations with the preparation and negotiations with vendors located in Vietnam.
      • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Participate the evaluation of new GS vendors and their on-boarding training

 

Years of Experience Required:

  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Minimum 5 years’ relevant working experience in costing, manufacturing engineering and/or sourcing roles with at least 3 years at managerial level.

 

Technical Skills Requirement:

  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Technical degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, Finance or Costing related discipline
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Practical knowledge of factory costing, time studies, product costing including wages & benefits in Vietnam.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Good knowledge on costs of various commodities used in Toy manufacturing such as packaging, printing, resin, fabric, and electronic components, etc;
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Strong project implementation coordination and financial analysis skills preferred.

  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">With a strong visionary mindset and be able to influence the team members to understand company’s strategy and how it is related to their daily work
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Strong interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills, with a high level of proficiency in English.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Willing to travel within Vietnam to factories for 30~50%, when necessary
