Hasbro Pacific has an opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team in Sydney. The Assistant Accountant will support the Accounting Manager and broader Finance team by assisting with the preparation of financial information for Hasbro Pacific business.


This is a part-time,12-month contract opportunity, offering 24 hours per week.


As the Assistant Accountant you will:


  • Prepare bank reconciliations daily and investigate any issues.
  • Prepare the general ledger reconciliations for all accounts with a balance at month end.
  • Be responsible for the GST and Fringe Benefits preparation and lodgement.
  • Prepare FBT budget and reforecasts.
  • Process Month End Accruals.
  • Manage the Corporate Credit Card program.
  • Assist with completing sections of the monthly reporting template (profit & loss, balance sheet and supplemental schedules).
  • Filing and ad hoc tasks as requested.


You will bring to this role:


  • Qualified Accountant
  • 3-5 years’ experience within a medium to large organisation
  • High proficiency/Advanced skills in MS Excel (required)
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and attention to detail is critical
  • Exposure to multi-currency reporting environment
  • Experience using SAP (desirable)
  • Team player with high energy and a self-starter who displays a “can-do” pro-active style
