Hasbro Pacific is searching for our next Brand Manager to join our team in Sydney. The Brand Manager will create and deliver strategic brand plans and fully integrated marketing campaigns that delight our consumers, meet global brand direction and deliver the Pacific market’s performance objectives.

 

What You’ll Do:

Brand Marketing Plans

  • Communicate clear measurable objectives that deliver on both global brand direction and local objectives
  • Determine most effective strategies for the brands
  • Create cost effective promotional and communication plans
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Competitive and Retail environment to inform and develop brand strategies
  • Present brand plans both internally and externally as required

 

Line Plans

  • Review global line plans and assess local market potential by category
  • Develop product range selection and pricing strategy for AU & NZ
  • Source and process all related costing and royalty rates
  • Determine appropriate release dates
  • Develop and manage customer exclusive program
  • Manage advertising expenditure in accordance with set budgets
  • Manage sku productivity through effective forecasting and review
  • Review performance to ensure revenue, product margins and operating profit are on target

 

Forecasting & Inventory Management

  • Review and communicate brand sell thru performance
  • Review and adjust forecasts accordingly
  • Review and adjust media and promotional plans accordingly
  • Work with Inventory Planning team to ensure timely stock allocation
  • Identify poor performers early and develop action plan
  • Manage closeout process in conjunction with Sales and Finance
  • Work with Inventory Planning to review aged inventory and develop action plan

 

Brand and Product Management

  • Prepare pitches for new product licenses as required by Global Brand Teams
  • Involvement in legal issues, and contractual negotiations
  • Develop full working knowledge of the playability and functionality of the products
  • Review products to ensure compliance with Toy safety standards and product codes e.g. button cell batteries
  • Manage specification changes, packaging changes and in-pack offers
  • Respond to all quality control concerns in a timely manner
  • Respond to consumer enquiries as referred by Consumer Services in a timely manner

 

Digital Marketing

  • Ensuring brand and product messaging is distributed via available digital platforms including websites, apps and partner media sites
    Working with the digital marketing team to ensure all product details are appropriate and correct for online mediums

 

Advertising & Promotion

  • Develop innovative promotional programs that deliver an immersive brand experience.
  • Prepare media and PR briefs in accordance with the agreed budgets and timetable
  • Review plans with the Head of Marketing to ensure objectives are met
  • Sign off on MBAs, POs and Invoices
  • Determine appropriate commercial selection and air dates
  • Review commercial accuracy and legality
  • Supervise commercial edits as required
  • Review post campaign and competitive analysis

 

Trade Marketing

  • Work with Customer Marketing to ensure effective in store i implementation of brand plans
  • Provide creative direction and approve all POP and trade promotions, including licensor approval where applicable

 

Business Relationships

  • Develop strong relationships with the APAC regional marketing teams and global brand teams
  • Make contacts and build relationships with key promotional, entertainment and licensing partners
  • Maintain relationships with Licensing Agents and Principal Licensors
  • Maintain strong relationship with media & creative, agencies and encourage creative output
  • Constant liaison with Sales to maintain full integration of promotional program
  • Communicate all relevant information to Inventory Planning in relation to product categories
  • Support Consumer Services with all relevant products and information

 

What You’ll Bring: 

  • 5+ years of brand / product experience preferably in the consumer goods industry
  • Proven ability to successfully utilize all elements of the marketing mix to drive the business
  • Experience with P&L responsibility, budget, planning and management
  • Strong analytical skills; consumer insight to leverage into thinking and planning
  • Demonstrated success delivering on business results
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects  
  • Personal leadership skills that inspire and influence
  • Tertiary qualifications with a marketing specialization
