Wizards of the Coast continues our rapid growth in Asia Pacific and is looking for Channel Development Manager in Australia. 


The channel development manager is responsible for developing mass market sales strategies and building plans for new channel expansion and entries to grow Wizards’ brands and acquire new players in Australia and New Zealand.



  • Develop and drive the channel expansion strategies in Pacific to grow Wizards’ brands
  • Work with distributors to develop plans for new channels expansion/entries, supporting distributors’ pitch to new entrants by developing Wizards’ business proposal
  • Coordinate with Marketing and Trade Marketing to develop channel growth initiatives
  • Develop sales strategies for existing channels to grow Wizards’ brands and profitability
  • Manage portfolio strategies to ensure correct ranging in channels to increase new player base
  • Coach distributors’ and channel partners’ sales teams on Wizards product offerings
  • Provide regular updates to Management on market development status during regional meetings
  • Evaluate and propose the need for new distributor/trade partner to expand and enter new channels in Australia and New Zealand.
  • Collaborate with teams across the region and headquarter providing initiatives and insights to drive optimal business outcome.



  • 4+ years experience in channel sales for consumer categories with preferred focus on collectibles/ gaming/ entertainment. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  • Self-driven and proactive in nature
  • Sales metrics acumen. 
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college required with fluency in English.
  • Ability to juggle and manage multiple priorities under tight project deadlines required.


Highly Desired:

  • Hobby channel gaming experience.  Paper based or digital
  • P&L management understanding (financial/business acumen)
  • Familiarity with Wizards products a huge plus – particularly Magic: the Gathering.


Travel Requirements (% of time per year)   

  • 25% to 30% travel.  Regional markets and Wizard HQ in Seattle, WA
