Hasbro is looking for an Associate Brand Manager (ABM) for our Japan toys and games marketing team based in Tokyo, Japan. The ABM will mainly be responsible for product range planning, pricing, marketing communication strategies & plans, advertising and promotion budget tracking and all the other day-to-day marketing topics for the assigned brands. The ABM will be working with the Senior Brand Manager who will be providing guidance and support to the ABM.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Execute franchise led marketing plans through targeted content & brand marketing campaigns, aligning plans with the Senior brand manager, Hasbro commercial teams/Licensed teams to drive consumer product sales
  • Report and analyze category and brand performance, A&P performance and ROI and inventory forecasts. Work with the sales team proactively to deliver the targeted NR and POS results
  • Be the owner of and first point of contact for the assigned brands and products for any day-to-day marketing-related inquiries
  • Lead all product development and adaptation processes, including localizing products or managing packaging translations
  • Prepare briefs for media plans including digital, PR, influencer marketing, creative, BTL, TV plans
  • Prepare and present brand marketing and product presentations to sales teams as well as key customers
  • Be responsible for the pricing, allocated A&P Budget and lead follow-up (PR & PO creation and other related processes)
  • Represent the assigned brands in global & regional meetings and work closely with APAC regional teams, as well as global brand teams based in the US

 

What You’ll Bring:

  • 2-4+ years of experience in marketing
  • Strong analytical problem solving, communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work closely and effectively with teams in a matrix environment; including managing and collaborating with vendors and agencies to achieve agreed-upon goals
  • Strategic and creative thinker
  • Ability to work independently
  • Sophisticated analytical/Excel/PC skills
  • Fluent Japanese and business-level English (speaking and writing)

  • University degree in relevant field
