We are looking for “Trade Marketing Specialist” for our Japan Toys and Games Sales team based in Tokyo, Japan.

 

Trade Marketing Specialist will be mainly responsible for executing trade marketing activities, managing BTL marketing investment budget, implementing the activities aligned with the strategies in our channels, and working very closely with brand marketing team as well as sales team.

 

A day in the life of Trade Marketing Specialist:

 

  • Coordinate annual trade marketing initiatives to ensure alignment with company objectives and strategic direction.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to grasp the unique objectives and Joint Business Plans (JBPs) of each channel or customer, tailoring plans to address their specific BTL requisites effectively.
  • Engage in the development of BTL POSM in partnership with external creative agencies and BTL collaborators.
  • Execute in-store branding, events, and interactive experiential activities, obtaining necessary permissions from customers and stores for smooth and seamless implementation.
  • Plan trade marketing investment budgets, segmenting by brand, channel, month, and activities, while maintaining meticulous monitoring of progress.
  • Craft comprehensive product catalogues, available in both print and online formats, to proficiently showcase offerings and bolster sales efforts.

 

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Possess a university degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Marketing or Key Account Management, demonstrating a track record of relevant accomplishments.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken Japanese, with a proficient level of written English for business correspondence.
  • Proficiency in analytical problem-solving, coupled with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Capable of working efficiently within cross-functional teams in a matrix environment, adept at managing and collaborating with vendors and agencies to attain shared objectives.
  • Display strategic and creative thinking abilities to devise innovative solutions and approaches.
  • Demonstrate self-reliance and the capability to work autonomously, driving projects independently when necessary.
  • Possess advanced analytical skills, particularly with Excel and PC tools, enabling in-depth data analysis and strategic decision-making.
  • A passion for the toy and entertainment industry is advantageous and considered a valuable asset for this role.
