About the job

The Lead Unity Developer is responsible for providing leadership to a product team around industry best practices and workflows, onboarding new technical resources, and providing mentorship its technical team members. This position involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, the product managers, and other adjacent teams. In addition, as part of the product team, you would be contributing to continuous quality improvement by enhancing technical processes and participating in all stages of the software development life cycle.

  • Responsible for mitigating risk on projects by ensuring we have the right resources doing the right work and flagging concerns in a timely manner
  • Be proactive and solution oriented in the day-to-day and long term needs of the studio
  • Liaison with technical/management/art team members to maintain vision/uphold quality
  • Be constantly on the lookout for great talent to recruit to Secret Location
  • Contribute to team cohesion and identity. Look for points of friction within the team and offer ideas for solutions. Identify opportunities for team building events and practices
  • Follow and/or establish common conventions
  • Recognize team and team member achievements
  • Maintain detailed documentation of work process and archive relevant information
  • Work with iterations towards locking tasks
  • Stay up-to-date with current technology and industry trends

 

What’s in your toy chest...

  • Working knowledge of Unity3d.
  • Fluent in C# with 5+ years working in C#
  • 3+ years in a Unity tech lead role
  • Professional experience in iOS game development
  • Knowledge of Unity best practices and design patterns
  • Experience writing unit tests and clean documentation
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead a technical team

  • Experience working on cross platform mobile applications
  • Close friends with low-level graphical APIs, multithreading, resource management, memory and graphic optimization issues.
  • Experience with Unity3d tools development
  • Have worked on a CI/CD build pipeline
