Position Summary:

 

As Manager, Financial Reporting, TV, you will have responsibility for monthly reporting of eOne TV Scripted entities including consolidated TV gross margin reports, title analysis against budget, and oversight of the intercompany process. Reporting into the Senior Director, Financial Reporting, TV you will be responsible for providing leadership to two direct reports. You will work with various members of Operational and Finance teams to support the accurate reporting of these areas and serve as key member of the Finance team.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for monthly submissions of monthly results to Group including consolidated Gross Margin by title analysis, balance sheet analysis and financial statements for TV Scripted entities.
  • Ownership of intercompany process within TV Scripted entities
  • Collaborate among Finance team to ensure accuracy and completeness of balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis
  • Oversee and prepare working paper schedules on monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Manage and assist in preparing materials for external and internal audits
  • Supervise and oversee various monthly analysis packs submitted to Group Finance
  • Assist in maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, chart of accounts, and by title information
  • Implement process improvements within areas of responsibility
  • Actively involved in ensuring compliance with internal controls
  • Accomplish tasks on time and take on special projects as needed
  • Manage, train, coach, mentor, and supervise direct reports
 
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and professional designation (CPA)
  • Minimum 5 years accounting and reporting experience.
  • Television Production accounting experience an asset
  • Strong technical accounting skills; knowledge of accepted accounting rules, practices, and reporting requirements
  • Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and possess ability to navigate and use other web-based systems as necessary.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power BI, Prophix and Longview an asset
  • Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, multi-tasking and execution skills
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
  • Ability to use initiative and take ownership of outlined responsibilities
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment under pressure with tight deadlines, simultaneously handling multiple projects
