Role Purpose…

The Production Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day production and crew. Working closely with the VP of Production, Creative Producer, Line Producer, Creative Team and Coordinators. the Production Manager oversees the department deliverables to ensure the efficient completion of production.

 

In this role, your accountabilities and responsibilities are…

 

  • Keeping track of master/micro production schedules and delivery dates for internal tracking and reporting.
  • Tracks large amount of artwork/scripts/all depts retakes overall with Coordinators to evaluate if quotas are being met.
  • Helps track assets and deliveries from vendor to vendor, while Line Producer traffics
  • Liaise between vendors.
  • Liaise between vendors/broadcasters and distributors.
  • Create and distribute weekly production reports, milestones
  • Analyze external weekly reports from partners and vendors.
  • Attend production meetings and conference calls from pre to post-production.
  • Work closely with production team members to make sure information is flowing and being organized appropriately.
  • Brainstorming/Seeking lower level artists for specific roles in various departments-- and potentially handing out assignments (transcribers, board artists, etc)
  • Tracking artists production has hired, checking over final paperwork/contracts before signature for VP of Production
  • Follow and troubleshoot pipelines from pre through to post production.
  • Make sure every episode upon completion is archived, stored and has a final “easy to access” master(link set up by Assistant Production Manager).
  • Setting up crew interviews when necessary in conjunction with Creative Producer/Show Runner (ie: Voice Director, Story Editor that Creative Producer recommends)
  • Reporting regularly with the VP of Production to ensure that each production you are assigned to is properly and completely organized to see where improvements are required.
  • Attend weekly production meetings (on shows assigned), records when possible, vendor meetings
  • Alerting Producers when key production dates are met: e.g., start of key animation, delivery of rough cuts, etc.

 

To do this role, you will have…

 

  • 7+ Years of Animation Production Management or Assistant Production Manager Experience
  • Production Management of at least four cycles of a successful show
  • Bachelor Degree in Film/TV or equivalent
  • Team Player
