The Total Rewards team within the Human Resources department uses total rewards design and systems to support the desired culture and to enhance the company’s ability to hire, retain, and motivate employees. The team contributes to the company’s success through the development, implementation, and operationalization of total reward strategies and programs in the areas of competitive compensation, compensation governance, short and long term incentive pay design, job evaluation, pension, benefits, wellbeing, payroll, and operations.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Total Rewards Operations, the Senior Compensation and Benefits Manager will be accountable for the day to day maintenance of employee benefit programs including health benefits, vacation and leave benefits for North America, within the eOne division of Hasbro. Additionally, this role will support salary and market data analysis and trends, government regulations and leading annual year-end compensation cycle analytics across the business.
Key Accountabilities:
Benefits and Wellness

Lead administration of employee benefit programs such health, dental, STD, LTD, life insurance, employee assistance, wellbeing, absences, recognition, service awards and other related programs

Coordinate the annual review of benefit and wellbeing programs including monitoring of trends, best practices, utilization and cost/benefit analysis to recommend opportunities for improvements

Act as the functional lead for the benefit related processes within our HRIS system, UltiPro, and support implementation projects globally

Work closely with employee communication specialists in order to provide information, increase awareness and understanding of benefit and wellbeing programs
Compensation

Review a wide range of relevant compensation data to ensure the company’s Compensation policies and practices are competitive

Analyze results of compensation surveys, keeping up with the rapidly changing industry in Toronto and LA in particular; contribute company data to compensation surveys

Execute analytic and process support to annual year-end compensation cycles for salary planning and short-term incentives

Maintain job architecture, through job evaluation and proactive analysis

Lead analysis around creation of salary ranges globally and continue to conduct ongoing market research

Ensure company compliance with relevant laws and regulations
Skills and Experience:
-
Post secondary education in a business-related field, ideally with specialization in Human Resources
-
A minimum of 5 years’ multifaceted experience in compensation and benefits, with experience in program design and business case development for program changes

Ability to read and interpret plan documents, government regulations, benefit policies and guidelines and a detailed and up-to-date knowledge of legislation pertaining to benefit programs

Excellent customer service and engagement skills

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail; ability to handle multiple priorities

Ability to effectively connect with all levels of the organization and influence key stakeholders

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to lead benefit-related processes within an HRIS system

Proven project management, organization and time management skills

Team player working collaboratively with peers; strong relationship management and interpersonal skills

Agile learner with the passion for taking on new challenges, flexible with the ability to deal with continual change
Nice to Have(s):

Previous experience in the Entertainment industry, particularly in a global company

Professional designation as Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Certified Benefits Professional would be an asset

Previous experience with HRIS and digital wellness tools/apps would be an asset
