Position Summary:

We have an opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable professional to execute payments for a global AP function. This role is responsible for compiling the payment run, obtaining approval, facilitating payments, and communicating to stakeholders. This role will also interact regularly with Quebec vendors, ensuring they are entered in our accounting system in a timely manner.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare payables aging for approval, ensuring all critical payments are made on time
  • Prepare approved AP payments for via ERP and Bank Portal and ensure approval and release
  • Process all incoming Quebec vendor set up requests and changes, ensuring timely and accurate set up
  • Ensure the communication of payment is made to relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure all payments are processed and posted in an accurate and timely manner
  • Maintain good vendor relationships, resolve payment discrepancies and other matters requiring follow up

 

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2-3 year experience in an accounting/accounting related field
  • A degree in accounting or related field a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a definite plus
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work with others and independently
