Hasbro SA, based in Delemont Switzerland, manufactures and sells Hasbro toy and games products around the world. Hasbro European Trading BV ('HET') is Hasbro SA’s distributor in Europe, which sells to Hasbro SA’s customers in all major European countries.  Hasbro International Trading BV ('HIT') is Hasbro SA's distributor for Direct/FOB sales in Europe. Hasbro UK Ltd ('the Company')  provides sales, marketing and other services to HET and HIT in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Hasbro is seeking an Account Manager to join our team in our Stockley Park, West London office for a Contract role. Our in-office required days are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and this is a full-time position.

The main purpose of the Account Manager is to provide the following services:

  • Be responsible for maintaining and developing a group of accounts to maximise HET/HITs sales and profit targets. (This will be achieved by procuring that Customers place orders on HET/HIT for review and acceptance)
  • Responsible for implementing approved retail sales strategies to strengthen the Hasbro brand's market position
  • To grow the Hasbro HET/HIT business and to support long term company objectives in-line with the approved regional and local plans with the key business partners

This role will involve visiting Customers and operating as part of a sales services team 

MAIN TASKS

  • Secure Hasbro HET/HIT yearly business and growth in the given key Customers through yearly discussions and recommendations of trade terms and contracts to HET/HIT for review and acceptance
  • Regular meeting with the Customer for business planning and review
  • Regular field visits to check in-store implementation of Hasbro products and promotions, as well activity of the merchandising team
  • Monitor market activity across retail stores
  • Influence accounts to maximise sales orders to HET/HIT across the full product portfolio to achieve HET/HIT sales and Hasbro SA profitability targets 
  • Work with the Channel Sales Manager to recommend and implement approved business plans for accounts, and review in line with quarterly targets
  • Lead preview and Toy Fair presentations as appropriate, ensuring Customers are fully equipped with all relevant information in a timely fashion. Attend and operate the Hasbro stand at key trade shows
  • Fully implement the approved key marketing plans in the account base – particularly merchandising and POS initiatives 
  • Manage JMA budgets
  • Take sole support of all account matters and day-to-day account issues 

Performance Indicators

Build and develop business relationships with the key Customers based on:

  • HET / HIT Turnover (Value and Volume), market share
  • Distribution/ channel assortment/ Customer listing target
  • Customer profitability
  • Customer plan, forecast accuracy

Financial Measures and Impact

  • BU Yearly Sales objectives
  • HIT the customer’s sales objectives
  • Customer allowances and investment budget control

Planning

Support developing and recommending country/channel/customer plans:

  • Manage customers’ information flow on sales, stocks, and payments
  • Responsible for forecasting customer sales
  • Responsible for executing new products launch/ listing
  • Identify new opportunities for the brand and POS/POE activities
  • Responsible for the implementation of the consumer promotional campaigns

Control

  • Responsible for recommending Customer investments within a predefined budget
  • Orders, invoices, deliveries - monitor orders and shipments in line with stock availability 

Customer Relations

  • Responsible for developing the Customer Business Plan to be approved by HET/HIT
  • Detailed analysis of Customer development (internal and external)
  • Monitoring of market activities
  • Identify Customer opportunities
  • Approved Promotion implementation
  • New product launch strategy/implementation

 

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Available immediately for work, or with very short notice!
  • Sales and Account Administration and Management: Proven experience in sales and account management, preferably in the toy or entertainment industry.
  • Customer Relationships: Strong skills in building and maintaining customer relationships.
  • Market Analysis: Ability to monitor and analyze market activities and trends.
  • Business Planning: Experience in developing and implementing business plans.
  • Budget Management: Understanding of managing budgets and financial targets.
  • Communication and Presentation: Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively within a team to achieve common goals.
