About The Team:
The Compensation team leads compensation programs for Hasbro. Our work impacts every employee globally through the programs we coordinate. The team also has a meaningful role to play by ensuring our employee value proposition is competitive in the marketplace and financially balanced.

 

About the Role:
The Compensation Director will provide strategic direction for Hasbro’s compensation programs aligned with company strategy and which position Hasbro as an employer of choice.  This role leads the global compensation consulting team providing quality consulting in support of Hasbro’s mission. The role has three direct reports and will require an experienced leader who can partner with the business to identify new opportunities to continuously improve our compensation impact. Lead end-to-end compensation projects from initial concept to successful delivery. 

 

Specific Responsibilities/Tasks:

  • Partner with HR, Finance and business leaders to develop compensation programs that support business strategy, align with Hasbro’s culture and which attract & retain top talent.
  • Lead annual compensation planning processes including the development of comprehensive communications materials and leader education.
  • Play a key role in driving transformation in our Human Resource Organization.
  • Design and manage effective recognition programs.
  • Lead global communication and education initiatives related to compensation programs including change management activities.
  • Ensure all compensation activity is delivered in compliance with local employment laws and regulations, Hasbro Global/Regional Policies and Standards, and Hasbro Code of Conduct
  • Manage the Sales Reward Program globally including full oversight of policy and process, ensuring that the program remains externally competitive and drives business results.

  • Lead, develop, coach and mentor other members of the Total Rewards Team:  Provide guidance on team objectives and provide constructive feedback on performance on an on-going basis.
  • Set direction and encourage others to deliver a clear & compelling vision that shows people how their work contributes to delivering our strategy and mission.
  • Build a healthy, engaged, and inclusive working environment that is sustainable over time.
  • Lead the team by example: ensuring effective communication, support and recognition is in place.
  • Identify, recruit, retain and develop talent.

 

Competencies (Skills, Knowledge, Ability, Behaviours required): 

  • Considerable experience and consistent track record of leading compensation in a global organization.
  • Deep technical expertise with base-pay, short and long-term incentive programs on a global level.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Demonstrable experience in the design and delivery of compensation strategies and policies.
  • Ability to operate in a matrix and global organization, working across cultures.
  • Strong interpersonal, coaching and listening skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Experience of leading a team.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to make quality decisions in the face of ambiguity.
  • Ability to adapt and learn, as well as inspire change.
  • 10+ years demonstrated experience.

 

Compensation Range, Currency USD:

  • Starting Pay Range: $140,000
  • Pay Range End: $260,000
