The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Retail Development Manager to actively participate as a member of the Retail Experience Team. The Retail Experience team has the goal to optimize in-store sales along hobby channel, working on our brands and products visibility and accessibility.

 

The purpose of this role is to leverage the level of quality of our hobby retail network, enhancing our customer base experience, drive strong visibility for WoTC brands and optimize sales in retail environment.

  • Identify key retailers and support them in leveraging their business.
  • Support the recommended sales strategy for WoTC in Hobby Retail with yearly retail development plans.
  • Be the bridge to our direct to retailer program.
  • Create and implement required displays and merchandising solutions in key retail partners across key retailers and markets.
  • Analyze play and sales data to measure the regional performance.

 

The Retail Development Manager, under the direction of the Retail Experience Manager, will work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to take the overall brand direction around Premier Set releases and ancillary releases, to execute activations to support the overall sales goals.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance to our key retailers to optimize in-store sales.
  • Coordinate and provide retail development tasks to our agency.
  • Ensure our key retailers maintain their quality on the long run, drive the quality re-verification process.
  • Refresh merchandising in hobby channel, including POS material design and implementation.
  • Drive release campaigns in hobby channel.
  • Ability to analyze metrics and insights to improve future executions/campaigns. 
  • Execute activations provided by Retail Marketing Manager, Sr Channel Development Manager, Channel Sales Manager and Sr Marketing Manager with strategic retail partners.

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of Retail experience. 
  • Ideally a background in Gaming/Video Games/Entertainment.
  • Fluent in English is essential and Spanish would be an advantage.
  • BA or BS Degree (In lieu of degree, 5 years of relevant work experience).
