Role Overview:
As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and managing retail operations across multiple store locations within an assigned territory, ensuring operational excellence and delivery of critical metrics.
A day in the life of a Retail Merchandising Supervisor:
- Leadership & Management:
- Supervise merchandisers across multiple locations within the territory.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to promote employee engagement and retention.
- Conduct regular store visits and perform performance evaluations to ensure compliance with company and organizational standards.
- Operational Excellence:
- Oversee day-to-day field operations, account management and customer service.
- Ensure that direct reports achieve or surpass critical metrics and adhere to company policies.
- District Performance:
- Monitor survey results, productivity; develop strategies to improve performance and meet district-level goals.
- Analyze district reports and photos and identify trends, challenges, and opportunities to drive POS.
- Manage monthly district service coverage and travel budget.
- Recruiting, Training & Development:
- Recruit, hire and train new merchandisers to fill territory openings in a timely manner.
- Identify training needs and ensure ongoing staff development to improve individual and team performance.
- Conduct quarterly in store merchandiser work sessions with all direct reports.
- Retail Merchandising:
- Physically move product from the backroom/stock room to shelves to ensure that products are fully stocked and readily available for customers.
- Set all monthly features and complete account priorities
- Regularly engage with store managers to identify and discuss opportunities for driving sales through incremental out-of-aisle product placements and expanding shelf space for Hasbro products.
- Complete all required store surveys, providing timely feedback regarding store conditions, product placement, and any merchandising challenges or successes.
- Capture and submit high-quality images of all priority product placements, incremental displays, and competitive set-ups
Qualifications:
- Available to work daytime, weekday hours and occasional weekends based on demands of the business.
- Experience in retail merchandising and field staff management.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate, develop, and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution abilities.
- Strong communication skills – written and oral
- Highly organized, detailed and able to manage time effectively
- Tech savvy (iPad/tablet/smartphone/Microsoft Office)
- Must have reliable high-speed internet connection and a personal computer (laptop or desktop) compatible with Microsoft Office/0365 and a smartphone
- Ability to travel overnight and within the territory as needed.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs., climb ladders, operate power tools, and stand, bend, and engage in physical activity as needed to ensure products are accurately merchandised.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, proof of car insurance and a good driving record
- Must live within the parameters of the assigned territory.
